| 2010/02/01 Spal was a winner of the Design Plus Award 2010, with the Blue Rain collection of designer Diana Borges. The prize is awarded during the fair environment for products that combine design, functionality and aesthetic qualities.
The 28 winning products in 2010 will be on display at the Galleria during the Environment of 12 to 16 February 2010. Most of the products selected this year are the sector and kitchen table and include china, cutlery and practical kitchen. A total of 177 companies from 25 countries signed more than 500 products in this competition.
At stake are 28 products from 22 companies in 11 countries, including top brands like Alessi, Authentics, Dibbern, Royal VKB, Stelton A / S and Zwilling. The winning products include creations of designers recognized as Matteo Thun and David Chipperfield, and emerging designers, like Alexa Lixfeld and Ineke Hans.
"The world of design is used indiscriminately today, and by itself is no longer sufficient as a sign of quality for many consumers, they seek good design that combines aesthetics and functionality.Articles bearing the stamp Design Plus are good examples of what consumers want, "said Nicolette Naumann, vice president of the Environment.
The Design Plus initiative was launched by the Design and Life (Initiative Form und Leben) in 1985. The sponsors of the initiative are the Messe Frankfurt, the German Design Council, the city of Frankfurt and the Association of Chamber of Commerce and the German Industry in Berlin.
Over the years, the seal Design Plus has become a quality certificate of trust to the good design, not only in industry and commerce, but also among consumers.
